About & Disclosure
Who runs this site
DJFT Guide is an independent information site about the Dutch residence permit for Japanese entrepreneurs under the 1912 Dutch-Japanese treaty. It's the sister site of our guide to the American DAFT route, built because Japanese applicants have even less clear, current information to go on, especially in Japanese.
Our partnership, in plain terms
We work in partnership with Slim Geregeld Administratie, a BECON-registered Dutch bookkeeping practice that serves both American and Japanese treaty applicants. They prepare the signed opening balance sheet and the renewal statement the IND asks for. Their service is remote and in English. See their service page for the Japanese treaty for current pricing.
We may receive a referral benefit when you become their client. This does not affect the price you pay.
How we source our content
Every factual claim on this site is checked against its source, mostly ind.nl and the official treaty text, and for the Japanese side the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Tax Agency and the Japan Pension Service. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking one silently. We don't copy text or layout from other DJFT sites, including our partner's.
About the Japanese version
The Japanese pages carry the same facts and sources as the English ones. If you spot an unnatural phrase or a translation error, please let us know through the contact page.
This page provides general information only. It is not legal or tax advice. Rules change and individual circumstances vary. Always verify details with the IND or a qualified adviser before acting.
